ABOUT US

This platform focuses on preservation of culture and connects various United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). The goal is to cultivate talents with interdisciplinary skills, organize special camps, and build an operating model of managing multimedia culture and history innovation platform.

By visiting the Old Town of Zuoying in Kaohsiung and the tourist areas around Lotus Pond for the practice-based research, students and participants will gain in-depth knowledge of the local history, culture, community development, and unique tourist attractions. By integrating resources from Wenzao University in foreign languages, marketing, and media, and by connecting resources from various sectors, this project aims to rediscover the new value of the local community history in Zuoying and promote development of the local community and business district.

Courses
To cultivate professionals with interdisciplinary knowledge in foreign language and new media

  • Combining courses from various departments at Wenzao University, including tourism, history, marketing, digital, and communication studies
  • Offering interdisciplinary new media micro-credit programs in foreign languages, including planned courses in interviewing, editing, event planning, and practical new media operations

New Media
To promote community cultural and historical values on different new media platforms

  • Establishing new media platforms to share local culture, history and stories of community development in foreign languages
